DIY SPRING TREND! HAIR CHALKING

Are you planning on going to a music festival, parties, or just want to lighten up your look by doing something temporary and fun?

Well now that it's spring why not do the trend that is ever so popular on many celebrities, and just continues to be ever so famous fun trend...Coloring the ends of your hair with bright color!

Now I'm not one that likes to color my hair because with all that I already put my hair through the last thing I want to do is damage my hair even more!

So why not Chalk your hair...yes you read that right! CHALK your Hair!

WHERE TO/ and WHAT?

Go to any craft store you go to should have chalk, like Joann's, or Michaels and mention to a sales person if your unsure what your looking for that you want to get soft chalk (NOTE** NOT OIL PASTELS) . If you do not have a craft store near you then try this website Hair Chalk! These are actually the best that I have tried they are called Sennelier Soft Pastels and are so easy to apply to hair. Note* Look for bright colors! On the website these are 3 colors I picked! “Cobalt violet 361″ “Steel blue 712″“Carmine 052"

HOW TO:
Step 1: Wet piece of hair. Note- if you have blonde hair I do not suggest wetting your hair as it will be harder to get the color out. **Use dish soap if regular shampoo is not working for removal.
Step 2: Prepare color chalk. Feel free to mix colors to get the exact shade you are going for.

Step 3: Rub chalk over pieces of hair. Work with about 1 inch of hair at a time. This technique looks better when the color is placed sporadically and only a few inches from tip.

Step 4: Allow hair to dry
Step 5: Curl Hair with Iron or put your hair in a high bun
Step 6: Show off your colorful hair

HAPPY HAIR CHALKING

XOXOXO- N
